ભારતના Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) કાર્યક્રમ માટે સ્વદેશી combat engine વિકસાવવાની દિશામાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ પહેલ સામે આવી છે. Reliance Industries Limited અને Rolls-Royceએ 14 ઓગસ્ટ 2026ના રોજ AMCA માટે સ્વદેશી combat engine વિકસાવવા સાથે કામ કરવાનો વ્યૂહાત્મક ઇરાદો જાહેર કર્યો છે. બંને કંપનીઓએ engineની ડિઝાઇન, વિકાસ, ઉત્પાદન અને ડિલિવરી માટે પોતાની ક્ષમતાઓ સાથે લાવવાની વાત કરી છે.

આ જાહેરાતને જોકે અંતિમ engine contract અથવા production order તરીકે જોવી યોગ્ય નથી. Official releaseમાં બંને કંપનીઓએ “strategic intent to partner” જાહેર કર્યો છે. એટલે આગળની પ્રક્રિયા અને જરૂરી નિર્ણયો બાદ જ આ ભાગીદારીનું અંતિમ સ્વરૂપ સ્પષ્ટ થશે.

ભારતમાં Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex સ્થાપવાની શક્યતા

Reliance અને Rolls-Royce ભારતમાં એક dedicated Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex સ્થાપવાની શક્યતા શોધશે. Official release મુજબ આ complex ભારતમાં power અને propulsion technology માટે Centre of Excellence તરીકે વિકસાવવાની કલ્પના છે.

આ પહેલનો ઉદ્દેશ ભારતમાં advanced aerospace propulsion માટે જરૂરી ટેક્નોલોજી અને industrial capabilitiesને એકસાથે લાવવાનો છે. Rolls-Royceની propulsion expertise અને Relianceની technology, manufacturing, scale તથા execution capabilitiesને જોડીને આ ecosystem વિકસાવવાનો પ્રયાસ થશે.

AMCA Engineનું Joint Development ભારતમાં

બંને કંપનીઓએ AMCA engineના joint development in India માટે capabilities રજૂ કરવાની વાત કરી છે. Official media release મુજબ પ્રસ્તાવિત ભાગીદારીમાં combat engine માટે design, development, manufacturing અને deliveryની ક્ષમતાઓ વિકસાવવાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

ભારત માટે આ પહેલ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે કારણ કે fighter aircraft engine જેવી advanced propulsion technologyમાં સ્વદેશી ક્ષમતા ઊભી કરવી દેશની લાંબા ગાળાની strategic autonomy માટે મહત્વ ધરાવે છે.

Anant Ambaniએ શું કહ્યું?

Reliance Industriesના Executive Director Anant Ambaniએ જણાવ્યું કે ભારતની strategic autonomy માટે critical technologiesમાં sovereign capability જરૂરી છે.

તેમણે કહ્યું કે Rolls-Royceની advanced propulsion expertiseને Relianceની technology, manufacturing, scale અને execution capabilities સાથે જોડીને ભારતમાં indigenous aero-engine ecosystem વિકસાવવાનો ઉદ્દેશ છે. તેમણે આ પ્રયાસને ભારતને self-reliant બનાવવાની અને સમય જતાં advanced propulsion technologiesમાં વૈશ્વિક સ્તરે સ્પર્ધાત્મક બનાવવાની દિશામાં યોગદાન ગણાવ્યું છે.

AMCA કાર્યક્રમ માટે કેમ મહત્વપૂર્ણ?

AMCA ભારતનું પાંચમી પેઢીનું fighter aircraft programme છે. મે 2025માં રક્ષા મંત્રાલયે AMCA Programme Execution Modelને મંજૂરી આપી હતી. આ મોડલ હેઠળ ભારતીય કંપનીઓને ખાનગી અને સરકારી ક્ષેત્રમાંથી સ્પર્ધાત્મક ધોરણે programmeમાં ભાગ લેવાની તક આપવામાં આવી છે.

Reutersના અહેવાલ મુજબ AMCA માટે 2028માં prototype rolloutનું લક્ષ્ય દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ programme ભારતની advanced fighter aircraft capability વિકસાવવાની મહત્વપૂર્ણ પહેલ છે.

ભારતમાં એન્જિન બનાવવાની ક્ષમતા કેમ મહત્વની?

Fighter aircraft માટે engine માત્ર propulsion system નથી, પરંતુ અત્યંત જટિલ અને વ્યૂહાત્મક ટેક્નોલોજી છે. તેથી AMCA માટે ભારતમાં engine development અને manufacturing ecosystem ઊભું કરવાની ક્ષમતા દેશની aerospace અને defence manufacturing માટે મહત્વપૂર્ણ બની શકે છે.

જો પ્રસ્તાવિત ભાગીદારી આગળ વધે છે, તો ભારતમાં design, development, manufacturing અને delivery જેવી ક્ષમતાઓ વિકસાવવામાં મદદ મળી શકે છે. આ સાથે સ્થાનિક aerospace supply chain અને advanced manufacturing ecosystemને પણ વેગ મળવાની શક્યતા છે.

ભારતના સ્વદેશી Aerospace Ecosystem તરફ એક પગલું

Reliance અને Rolls-Royceની આ જાહેરાત AMCA માટે સ્વદેશી combat engine capability વિકસાવવાની દિશામાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ઔદ્યોગિક પહેલ છે. જો આ વ્યૂહાત્મક ભાગીદારી આગળ વધે અને જરૂરી પ્રક્રિયાઓ પૂર્ણ થાય, તો ભારતમાં advanced aerospace propulsion માટે લાંબા ગાળાની ક્ષમતા ઊભી કરવામાં મદદ મળી શકે છે.

હાલની સ્થિતિ: Reliance અને Rolls-Royceએ AMCA માટે indigenous combat engine પર સાથે કામ કરવાનો strategic intent જાહેર કર્યો છે; engineનું final production contract અથવા ઉત્પાદન શરૂ થયાની જાહેરાત થઈ નથી.
